Welcome to Stanley Street Church

We are a family Church set in the community within the coastal town of Seaham. We are passionate about Jesus and the people of Seaham and the surrounding area. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church, curious about attending a church for the first time, or anything in between, you are welcome to join us, and we hope you will feel at home with us. 10:30 am every Sunday.
Other Events
Beyond our regular Sunday gatherings, we love to host a variety of special events that can bring our Stanley Street family and the local community together. While these aren't always in a formal weekly diary, we frequently arrange ad hoc get-togethers such as relaxed afternoon teas, and special family services.
We also take great joy in our traditional Christmas and Easter concerts and services, which are wonderful opportunities to celebrate together. Keep an eye on our latest updates so you don't miss out on our next invitation!
Community
We have deep roots on Stanley Street and a heart for every corner of Seaham. While our congregation is small, our door is wide open to our neighbours - whether you’ve lived next door for decades or are just passing through. We are passionate about being a blessing to this area across the whole age range of our community; as well as our gatherings at the church, we also love visiting two of our local care homes every month to hold 'Songs of Praise' style services with the residents. We would love for you to 'come and see' what our close-knit family is all about. You don’t need to be a 'church person' to join us; you just need to be you.
Are You New Here?
If you’re visiting for the first time, or looking for a church to call home, we’d love to meet you. Walking into a small, traditional church can feel daunting, but at Stanley Street, you aren't just a face in the crowd - you are a welcome addition to our family. Whether you are new to Seaham or have lived in the North East all your life, we hope you feel at home and find a place where you can truly belong.
At our Sunday services we sing classic & modern hymns, we pray together, share a message and we always have a cup of tea and a real chat afterwards.
